"Downtown Boca Raton Plan: Enhancing Sustainability and Livability with Mixed-Use Development"

A new proposal for downtown Boca Raton includes more green space, 769 apartments, 196 condos, and a 180-room hotel.

The project aims to create a more sustainable and pedestrian-friendly environment in the area.

The development will also include a public plaza, retail space, and underground parking.

The proposal is part of a larger trend towards mixed-use developments that integrate residential, commercial, and recreational spaces to create vibrant urban communities.

A Boca Raton developer is seeking permission to build 394 apartments in eight-story towers instead of retail space in an empty lot off Federal Highway.

The proposal also includes a rooftop pool and parking garage.

The developer argues that there is not enough demand for retail in the area, so apartments would be more profitable.

The city has not yet approved the request, as some residents are concerned about the impact on traffic and the neighborhood's character.
