🏗 Downtown Redevelopment Revamp

Developers presented a scaled-back redesign of the downtown civic campus project in Boca Raton.

Housing units have been reduced from 912 to 740, office space is cut by nearly two-thirds, and retail/dining space has been trimmed from 140,000 to 80,000 sq ft.

The plan also includes more green space, tennis courts, and preservation of cultural landmarks.

✈ Airport Close Call—No Injuries

A private jet overshot the runway at Boca Raton Airport but was safely stopped by the engineered arresting system before reaching a nearby road.

Four people onboard were unharmed, and no damage to surrounding areas was reported.

🗳 Civic Engagement Opportunity

Residents are invited to attend the City Council workshop tonight at 6:00 p.m.

The session will focus on the revised downtown redevelopment proposal, and public input will help guide the project’s future direction.
